Keikilani Uehara is the Organization Lead for the Kapolei/Ewa Community on Oahu. Prior to joining Blue Zones Project, she spent 11 years in Education as a Data Analyst, Sr. Business Analyst and Sr. Project Manager working on developing and executing community projects in Leeward Oahu. Keikilani has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a diverse background working in the tech and hotel industry as well as healthcare and sales. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out in the yard with her three kids and husband in their home in Kapolei where they’ve lived for over 10 years. She also loves yoga, crossfit, the beach and music. Keikilani has a passion for supporting Native Hawaiian well-being and building cultural connectedness and sense of place. Her favorite olelo noeau (Hawaiian wise saying) is Mohala i ka wai ka maka o ka pua: Flowers thrive where there is water, as thriving people are found where living conditions are good. It is that saying that grounds Keikilani’s commitment to playing a role in improving well-being in the Kapolei and Ewa communities.
